Cosy apartment with superb views over the spa village of Vernet-les-Bains and the Pic du Canigou. (90 sq. mtrs + 45 sq. mtr terraces). The entrance is on the groundfloor, with the living space on one level but spanning ground & 1st floor – it is built on a hillside ! The house comfortably sleeps 6 adults in three bedrooms. From the sitting / dining room, you have immediate access to the large sunny terrace through the patio windows. This room contains a six-seater dining table, several comfortable chairs a TV and, up two steps, a sofa, music system and large bookcase. Leading beyond that from the sitting room is the main bedroom. This room is large and comfortably furnished with a double bed, and has patio doors leading onto a covered terrace.
Off the dining room is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of work-surfaces. There is also a dining table and breakfast bar. Conveniently, the kitchen also has patio doors leading straight onto the terrace. This large, sunny terrace has plenty of space for dining alfresco or simply soaking up the sun and the view. At the end of the hallway there is another large bedroom comfortably furnished with twin beds.  This room has a lovely view of the mountains, particularly at sunrise.
The third bedroom is equipped with bunk beds and is directly accessed from the hallway. This room has patio doors out on to a pleasant enclosed patio with flower borders. All rooms have central heating. There is a ‘Cave’, on the ground floor, with washing mashine & tumble dryer, plus plenty of storage space. There is a garage in an adjacent residence.
The apartment is ideal for holidays throughout the year.
From the village,  Vernet-les-Bains, you can take a variety of walks; an hour and a half away you have the waterfalls, Cascades des Anglais, a 3-hour walk to visit the famous monastery St. Martin du Canigou (also reachable by car and 45 minutes walk), and the long trek to the summit of the Canigou (2785 metres/about 9,000 ft).  A winter week in Vernet-les-Bains could easily include some days downhill skiing, cross country skiing or trekking, the ski resorts Font-Romeu and Les Angles, are about 50 mins away.
During summer, the glorious sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are less than an hour away by car. The closest is St Marie Plage, just north of Perpignan. A bit more than an hour away is Argeles-sur-Mer that combines long sandy beaches and the small resort Le Racou, as well as the lovely seaside villages Collioure, Banyuls-sur-Mer,…
For duty-free shopping, Andorra is an easy day excursion.
